New to the Denver scene, Lucy’s Burger Bar opened  in 2021 in the west side of Denver. In a revamped part of town that has hustle and buzzle and notable development. There you find an outrageous burger in an unassuming setting. A piece of Minneapolis, MN  brought to Denver. Truly, this was a 5 star customer care experience while enjoying a diner style burger. The staff was immediately welcoming and brought pretzels and drinks if you are lucky enough to grab a seat.  You are given instructions on how to eat the famous Juicy Lucy which turns out to be very helpful. They have great Kombucha there, loaded and unloaded. Great People working to turn out one of the best burger experiences I ever had. *You may want to follow them on Insta at lucysburgerbar to keep up with the days they sell out so you don’t swing by when there are no more burgers for the day. 

Juicy Lucy – 

This comes out very simple. Bun, onions and pickles. The buns are soft and warm and hold the juice like a champ. There is a lot of juice!!! Pickles have a crisp coupled with fresh flavor. I held off on the onions. They can be raw or cooked. This legendary burger… is a cheese infused burger that is grilled to perfection. American Cheese is flavored to a great extent.  Before you eat it you are given instructions: 1 CAUTION HOT. 2 take a small bite and don’t squeeze hard. 3. Eat it up! Of course I’m Burger Mike so like men I didn’t follow any of this…. Shoot Juices all over the place! MY BAD! But what an experience.

Aside from the novelty of this burger there was remarkable flavor and a great ratio – nothing fought for first place so we have a burger that shines in all the right ways. 

The Fries are brought in a separate basket so get the full so 2 people can share or you can pound it yourself.
